Why we started SeaWild
The ocean changed our lives. Not through a single dramatic moment, but through thousands of small ones.
Early mornings watching the sunrise over glistening water. Crashing waves hitting wild coastlines shaped by millennia of wind and tide. But more than anything we could experience from the surface, it was the moments underwater that had the biggest impact. The silence beneath the surface where the noise of everyday life simply disappears and the weightlessness that gives the sensation of flying.
And encounters with marine life that leave you feeling connected to the wild in a way you can't experience on land. Entering a world busy with wild creatures going about their daily lives in such a calm and harmonious way. To be able to observe them and feel connected to nature in such an authentic form.
Again and again, we found ourselves returning to the sea, to reconnect with life in a way that our human world has long since forgotten, to reconnect with ourselves.
That connection became the foundation of SeaWild.

The SeaWild idea
SeaWild was created around a simple idea:
That "People protect what they love" and people love what they truly connect with.
Many of the challenges facing our oceans today are well known. Pollution, habitat loss, climate change, overdevelopment and increasing disconnection from the natural world.
The science, policies and conservation work really matters. But lasting change rarely begins with statistics. It begins with connection.
People are far more likely to care about protecting the ocean once they have experienced its beauty, wonder and importance to them.
That is where SeaWild begins.
Reconnecting people with the Sea & themselves
Our mission is:
To help people reconnect with the sea and themselves through exploration, conservation, storytelling, education, wellbeing and community.
For some people that connection happens while scuba diving.
For others it happens while snorkelling over a reef, swimming in open water, paddleboarding along a coastline, photographing wildlife, exploring rock pools, studying marine science, or simply sitting quietly beside the ocean.
The activity itself is not the point.
The connection is.
Because once people feel connected to the sea, something changes inside them.
Curiosity becomes understanding.
Understanding becomes care.
Care becomes action.
That's how ocean advocates are created. That's how mindful self-advocates are created.

Why Cornwall?
Surrounded by ocean on three sides, Cornwall offers an incredible variety of marine environments, from sheltered estuaries and seagrass meadows to dramatic Atlantic reefs, kelp forests, shipwrecks and thriving marine wildlife.
It is a place where exploration feels accessible, where marine life can be found close to shore and where the sea remains deeply woven into local culture and identity.
Cornwall is our home, but our vision extends far beyond it, because the ocean connects every coastline on Earth.
Whether one of our expeditions takes place in Cornwall or somewhere far-flung around the world, the goal remains the same: helping people build meaningful relationships with the sea.
What Does SeaWild Do?
SeaWild brings together several different elements that all support the same mission.
Expeditions
Our expeditions are designed to explore, discover and document places both above and below the surface. Some locations are well known. Others are hidden, forgotten, or rarely visited. Every expedition aims to deepen understanding of the places we explore and share those discoveries with others.
Storytelling
Not everyone can visit the coastline. Not everyone can scuba dive. But everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the ocean.
Through photography, film, writing and digital media, SeaWild shares the stories, wildlife and environments we encounter along our journeys.
Conservation
Conservation is not something separate from exploration. It is the reason exploration matters. Every meaningful encounter with marine life strengthens the desire to protect it.
SeaWild supports conservation through research, education, awareness, responsible exploration and practical action.
Community
The ocean has an incredible ability to bring people together and not exclude.
SeaWild exists to create a welcoming community for anyone who feels drawn to the sea, regardless of experience, background or ability.

S.E.A. the Difference
Everything we do is guided by three values.
Sustainable
We believe the ocean should be restored and remain healthy and thriving for future generations.
Ethical
We believe adventure should be safe, inclusive and respectful of both people and planet.
Accessible
We believe the ocean belongs to everyone. Not just experts, athletes or those who already feel confident. Everyone.
These values shape every expedition, project, partnership and decision we make.
You Belong Here
Perhaps the most important thing to know about SeaWild is this:
If you are curious about the sea, fascinated by marine life, inspired by wild places, or simply looking for a deeper connection with nature, you already belong here.
SeaWild is for explorers, divers, swimmers, snorkelers, paddlers, photographers, conservationists, students, families and ocean lovers of every kind, experience level and background.
Our hope is that through sharing expeditions, stories and experiences, we can help more people discover what the ocean has given us.
Wonder. Connection. Perspective. Belonging.
Because when people reconnect with the sea, they often rediscover something within themselves too.
Welcome home. Welcome to SeaWild.
